Yeah, I'd go for a cheap pair of basketball shoes over any running shoe. Running shoes are going to be awful for volleyball. The materials used are meant for a totally different environment. Given, if you're just doing c and d level play, then I take back everything, just get some cross training shoes. Otherwise, get some Nike Zoom KD 9's.
